An un-backpacker.

I’ve been fortunate to grow up in Canada and the Philippines. After my undergraduate degree, I spent one year learning Russian language, literature and Uzbek history in Uzbekistan and one year in the same place forgetting Russian for work. When I was in my teens, luckily with the school I was in and the experiences of my parents and my friends’ families, I got to swap a lot of travel and cultural traditions with each other. I am now in my home country, Indonesia, working in the type of job I only dreamed of doing as a teenager verbally trying to kick butt in Model U.N., and which has, in the past (nearly) 1.5 years has let me explore my own country and elsewhere.

Thanks to the family and friends, though, I’ve definitely had wonderful experiences in the following other places of exploration for extended or brief stays: Austria, Azerbaijan, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong SAR, Hungary, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Laos, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Singapore, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States.

Hopefully this list will continue to grow as the months roll by, and, if you feel like swapping stories, and sharing tips between us, I’m all up for that.
